More information on Speed Instruments:
The Velocitek ProStart takes the stress out of starts by providing your exact distance to the line. It uses the latest generation of GPS technology for extremely accurate data. The timer is excellent – simple to operate and easy to read. After the start, the unit switches to race mode to track speed and heading. Because it uses GPS to track speed over ground instead of through the water, it is useful to determine current and tide effects.
The SpeedPuck is extremely simple to operate and clearly displays boat speed or course over ground. If you don’t need the starting capabilities of the ProStart, this model has you covered. It even retains the ability to export GPS data so you can view your track and speeds after a day out on the water.
APS carries a range of Velocitek accessories as well. Make sure your marine electronics and compasses stay visible to you while racing and mount them on the mast.
