Seoladair's boomkicker uses two coated fiberglass spring rods to support the boom and eliminate the topping lift. The rods are clamped into Teflon-anodized aluminum end pieces and they attach to universal mast and boom fittings. It operates very simply: pull the boom down and the boomkicker will flex upward. Release the force on the boomkicker and it will flex upward and lift the boom. This simple design eliminates sliding tubes and friction.
The Seoladair boomkicker operates independently and is installed separately from the boom vang. Seoladair's boomkickers come complete with mast fittings, machined screw fasteners, the proper drill and tap and hex wrench, mast fitting, mast slides, and a custom extruded boom track contoured to fit both round and flat-bottomed booms.
This model is designed with 16-20' boats in mind.
