The Tuff Luff Aero represents a major evolution of slotted headstay systems. Its unique aerodynamic shape has been wind tunnel tested to ensure that its shape lowers friction to enhance sail performance and provide at least 9% more lift than a traditional headstay foil. This foil also features faster win reattachment to the sail, with less turbulence, allowing you to get the maximum performance and horsepower out of your headsail.

The Schaefer Aero foil is engineered from a custom polycarbonate material that is lighter, stronger and more durable than comparative systems. This material is also engineered for high impacts (i.e. from your spinnaker pole), so there is no need for bumpers. The fine finish surface reduces friction between the foil and the sail, resulting in faster sets and douses. Complete Kits include the prefeeder, spacer tube (bottom and top), extrusion (foil).

Already have a complete system? Is your Tuff Luff extrusion cracked, bent, or just worn out? Do not put up with hard to hoist/douse sails or chance a luff pull-out. You do not have to replace the whole system - we will sell you the extrusion only. Reuse your prefeeder, spacer tube and end feeder. Easy to install.
