Sea Sure Rudder Fittings

Rudder fittings. Extruded, precision-machined from heat treated black anodized aluminum. Fitted with 5/16 inch cross-pins for added rigidity, stainless steel pintle pins. Lightweight, with six times the rigidity of stainless steel hardware. Widely spaced counter bored holes accept round head bolts. Gudgeons are available with carbon bushings for less friction - bushing part numbers are designated with a B.

Sea Sure Rudder Fitting Packing Plates

Used to ensure a tight fit between blade and gudgeon or pintle. Use these plates with the Sea Sure rudder fittings above. There are two hole versions and three hole versions, two hole versions are for top fittings and three hole versions are for bottom fittings. Both options are available in 1/16 inch, 1/8 inch, 3/16 inch, and 1/4 inch thickness.

Sea Sure Transom Fitting Backing Plates

Use these backing plates with the Sea Sure transom fittings. SS1852 is the two hole version, used for SS1812 and the SS1813. SS1854 is the four hole version, used for SS1814 and SS1815 transom fittings. Both the two and four hole versions are 3/16 inch thick.

Ronstan Rudder Hardware

Pintle pins are cross-drilled to accept the RF413 Retaining Clip. The RFPNP55 Retaining Clip provides simple rudder retention security. Alloy gudgeons have insert molded Nylon bushes to provide a firm fit with pintles and avoid corrosion and fatigue. 9.5mm (3/8") transom fittings have alloy bases for greather strength. All are great for off-the-beach dinghies and catamarans.

RaceLite Rudder Fittings

Rudder hardware. These are the standard fittings that are found on many dinghies since their original design. (L) stands for Long pins -- (S) stands for Short pins. Stainless steel construction. Light, Medium, and Heavy-Duty style fittings are constructed similarly. Extra-Heavy-Duty style fittings are significantly reinforced and strengthened. Light Duty straps are 1/16 inch thick, Med Duty and Heavy Duty straps are 5/64 inch thick, Extra Heavy-Duty straps are 3/32 inch thick.

Schaefer Dinghy Rudder Fittings

Rudder hardware. These Schaefer light duty pintles and gudgeons are ideal for use on most prams, dinghies and small centerboard boats twelve feet and under. (L) stands for Long pins used in lower fittings -- (S) stands for Short pins use in upper fittings. Constructed with grade 316 stainless steel with fully welded, tapered tip pins. Available for 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch thick rudders. Two pin lengths help in getting the rudder aligned and set. Strap stock is 1/16 inch thick.

Schaefer J/24 Type Rudder Fittings

These Schaefer Medium duty pintles and gudgeon components are most familiar as J/24 type hardware but are used on small keelboats up to 25 feet in length. Rudder fittings designed specifically for the Optimist. Pin diameter is 6mm, according to Optimist class rules. Made of stainless steel, these rudder fittings are available as a complete set or as an individual fittings. Designed to be compatible for for blades up to 15mm thick.

RWO Rudder Retaining Hardware

R0767 is a spring type retainer made from stainless steel with two mounting holes and a plastic tip to prevent scratching your rudder. R8646 is a pair of wing nuts for 6mm (1/4 inch) threads and R8648 is a pair of wing nuts for 8mm (5/16 inch) threads.
