Maxijacket Coating
	The coating that you see on single braided lines like Vectrus 12, Ultrex 12 that allows them to be used with or without a cover is maxijacket. Long used on commercial rope for firming lines to increase snag resistance, improve abrasion resistance and help keep contaminants from entering the rope. Maxijacket can increase the life of braided polyester up to eight times. Volvo, AC and large blue water racers have used coatings with great success in recent years. We offer the same coating to increase the life of your own halyards, sheets, and guys. Application of this water based urethane coating accomplishes two things: increases line life in high wear areas and makes our splices more effective by adding a "coefficient of friction." Apply the coating to eye splices to decrease wear at the working end. Coat halyards at the point where they exit the mast and at the ends of spinnaker guys to reduce wear from the pole. Even if a line is factory coated a second coat in our rigging shop can add more line life. We offer the coating in six color choices: red, blue, green, black, yellow or clear.
