New England's Double Braid nylon dock lines are durable and long lasting. Each line has a professionally spliced 12" eye with a heat-sealed bitter end. Docklines are available in a variety of diameters from 3/8" to 3/4" and in various lengths from 15' to 50'
The size and type of line you use will depend on various factors including the size and weight of your boat. Nylon Brait - Yale |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Construction: 100% Nylon Single Braid
Yale's Nylon Brait is not your average line. Its energy absorption is 75% greater than 3-strand rope and 85% greater than nylon double braid. Brait is easily spliced and delivers 100% of the rope's advertised strength. As an anchor rope it does not tangle in a rope locker (unlike 3-strand that tangles and gets stiff as it ages) with its greater energy absorption you may be able to use of smaller, lighter anchors and anchor lines on your race boat. As dock lines, brait inflicts less wear and tear on deck and dock hardware. Originally designed for commercial shipping use. As dock lines use 3/8" for boats to 20', 1/2" for boats to 30' and 5/8" for boats to 40'...
