Construction: Polyester Cover w/ a Polypropylene Core

A revolutionary design reduces tangles and knots. In other ropes, the outer jacket rotates around the inner core causing tangles as the core tightens under load and the less loaded cover shifts around it. Polilite virtually eliminates this problem: a tightly woven polyester cover takes all the load and the lower tech polypropylene core is held fast, preventing twists. The tightly woven cover and polypropylene core make for a light line with little water absorption. The polyester cover also holds up much better than polypropylene covers. Imagine no tangles as you ease out the boom on your next weathermark rounding.

Polilite must be fully washed to remove all lubricating detergents used in manufacturing the tightly woven cover. (Machine washing in a mesh bag is best.)

Common Applications:
5.5 mm: spinnaker sheets and halyards, drifter main and jib sheets; 7 mm dinghy mainsheets; 9 mm dinghy and one design keelboat mainsheets.
