Introducing Paraloc

Introducing Paraloc

Introducing Paraloc, a new generation of rope by Mamutec which is revolutionizing the way we think about rope. Moving beyond first generation twisted rope and surpassing second generation double braids. Paraloc’s patented parallel-braided ropes differ fundamentally from existing technologies. How? In Paraloc technology, what were originally a separate core and cover fiber are now directly interlocked through a technique of parallel braiding utilizing the different types of fibers(Polyester, Dyneema, Vectran...) available today. Thanks to the interlocked braiding of core and sheath fibers, a few important unique rope advantages are immediately achieved with more being found every day on boats from small dinghies up to round the world Open classes and IACC type boats. Those that are realized immediately include:
– no sheath slippage
– less stretch
– high abrasion, tear resistance, durability, and holding power in cleats and winches.

Construction: Polyester Cover w/ Dyneema SK-75 Core

This line boasts a Dyneema SK-75 core for non-stretch performance and is surrounded by a smooth spun polyester cover making it easy to hold and secure in a cleat. The Dyneema core keeps water retention to a minimum.

Common Application:
Kink and twist free sheets, control lines and small boat spin halyards.

Piranha - Paraloc

Construction: Polyester Core w/ Dyneema SK-75 Core

Designed specifically for use as sheets and halyards. Dyneema SK-75 core delivers extremely low stretch and an abrasion resistant sheath ensures long life. Through Paraloc construction, the clutch, cleat and winch loads are transferred from the sheath to the Dyneema core. Cover slip is completely eliminated.

Common Applications:
Halyards; especially spinnaker. All sheets. High load control lines.
