When Will Your Order Ship?
APS will contact you with within one business day with a day-definite shipping date for your rigging order. All rigging orders are processed on a first come, first served basis and our shipping dates are determined by the current volume of orders in our Rigging Department. Please be aware that at the peak of our season (May - August), rigging times may exceed three business days.

The Etchells main halyard is available with in two options. The first is 1/8" Amsteel Blue spliced to 1/8" 7x19 wire. The second is 1/4" Racing Sheet with a longer section of wire, due to 1/4" being too large to fit through the halyard lock, but it does make it easier to handle during hoist.

Both have a single ball stop for mast head halyard locks with a Wichard key shackle (WC81432). The shackle is crimp swaged to the wire with a thimble and the single shank ball stop is swaged on 11-3/4" from the bearing surface of the ball to the bearing surface of the shackle pin. Etchells Jib Halyard

We make Etchells jib halyards for both deck level halyard locks and for those who cleat them off.

APSE220008 is used with a halyard lock at deck level, and has a Ronstan swivel snap shackle (RF6110) crimp swaged with a thimble to 1/8" 7x19 wire. The deck end has two stop balls wire swaged on near to the rope tail. 1/4" line is spliced to the wire as a tail with a reeving splice in the end for easy installation. Please supply lengths as measured from the bearing surface of the shackle to the bearing surface of each ball. Visit How to Measure Wire Rigging before placing your order. You may ship your existing rigging to us for reproduction if you prefer.

APSE22014 is cleated at deck level. Endura Braid is 1/4" line with a Ronstan swivel snap shackle (RF6110) spliced to the working end and the bitter end has a reeving splice for easy installation.

There is a lot of selection here due to a lot of personal preferences. All have 1" plastic stop balls at the working end.

APSE22020 & 021 are made with 1/4" line with the working end whipped for durability and the bitter end has a reeving splice for easy installation.

APSE22023 are made with 1/4" line spliced to a Ronstan swivel snap shackle (RF6110) on the working end with a ball stop at the splice, and the bitter end has a reeving splice for easy installation.

The Etchells topping lift is available in both a stripped and covered version. Both have a Wichard spring gate hook spliced onto the working end, and a reeving eye on the bitter end for easy installation. for easy use and positive connections.

Do it Your Self Wire-to-Rope Halyards

Some times you just want to do it your self. We understand. These halyard kits are 40' of 1/8" 7x19 wire and 40' of 1/4" double braid polyester. They come with a thimble and oval sleeve for you to make yourself a traditional Etchell jib or main halyard. Don't forget to order 1/8" single shank stop balls for your halyard lock if you have one and make sure you have access to swage machine.
