The Brolga Shroud Adjusters are a breakthrough in quick rig adjustment - just grab the knurled cap and start twisting/adjusting. The top swage studs ride on ball bearings inside the knurled cap which allows the adjuster body to rotate freely and not twist your shroud. Dyform wire aids in preventing shroud rotation while making adjustment due to it stiff twist properties. Once you have finished your adjustments, simply screw the knurled lock nut into place.

To insure easy adjustments, on each race day you will need to lubricate the adjusting screw thread plus clearance gap between the swaging shaft and top round bearing housing with marine lanoline spay. These are the upgraded MkII that include knurled cap, larger ball bearings, larger diameter adjusting screw (was8mm, now 10mm)., adjusting screw manufactured from Nitronic 60 stainless steel which has anti gawling qualities.

Our E22 Brolga shrouds are made with 5mm Dyform or 1x19 wire; with aircraft eyes on the mast side. The Dyform is recommended by Brolga due to its resistants to unlaying from the torque generated when making rig adjustments. Plus Dyform offers lower stretch than 1 x 19 wire. In conversations with Jud Smith, we learned that he uses 1 x 19 wire with the Ronstan handles (sold separately) to prevent the wire from unlying. Either way, we can make a new set of standing rigging for you that is effortless to adjust at any time.

We can produce new standing rigging two ways. You can ship us your old rigging for us to duplicate or we can work from the measurements that you provide us. Please provide us the length of your existing shrouds at their normal sailing setting (medium air) from bearing surface of the eye to the bearing surface of the toggle plate at the bottom of the turnbuckle.
