Snipe Mainsheet |
||||||||||||||
| Snipe Mainsheet Diameter: 5/16" (8mm) Line Options:
Our Snipe mainsheets are made from 5/16" Dyneema line with and 5/32" Amsteel tail spliced on. The Dyneema options are Swiftcord or Racing Sheet, both are minimal stretch single braids. Swiftcord is a Dyneema and Cordura blend so the line is light, soft and fit to handle high working loads. Racing Sheet is a Dyneema/Nylon blend that's easy to hold onto to and runs well. Ph.D is spun polyester twiseter over Spectra 1000, making it durable and fuzzy on hands. All options are whipped at the ends for durability. |

Snipe Tow Line |
||||||||||||||
| Snipe Tow Line Diameter: 5/16" (8mm) or 3/8" (~9mm) Line Options:
Three options that make great tow lines. All options are whipped for durability. The Marstron is the lightest option and is the least water absorbing of the three. It floats easily on top of the water, as opposed to our next option, Dinghy Tow Rope, that will float but not at surface like Marstron. Dinghy Tow Rope is a double braid making it the most durable and has little water absorption. It does tend to run a bit big, so the 9mm is more like a 9.5". The Nylon Brait is the most shock absorbing of the three, making it especially useful in longer tow lines to prevent damage. All three are compliant with the new version of Snipe Class Rule 52.16 that states that a towline of 15 meters minimum length and 8mm minimum diameter must be carried aboard. This rule is in affect April 1st, 2011. |
