Harken Laser® Upgrade Kit - Vang

The Harken Laser Vang comes ready to go: arrives to you completely assembled with line, Harken blocks & cam cleat, and clevis pin needed for instant installation on any boat. This vang setup is universal for any of the three Laser rigs - Standard, Radial or 4.7.

This vang provides power and efficiency for sailors of any size by providing a 15:1 mechanical advantage for effortless use and release - this vang setup runs smooth, every time. Cascade line is 3/32" Spectra & the cleated line is 3/16".

For easy on/off try a quick pin for the attachment on the mast.

Total weight is 12.3oz, the same as the Holt Allen Laser Vang (in case you're wondering).

H466: Wire Single with pin, ring and fixed becket
- This block comes with narrowed cheek plates to prevent the vang line from skipping the sheave, an update from the block supplied with Harken Laser vangs from Vanguard previous to February, 2007.

Laser® Original Vang Hardware

This setup provides less mechanical advantage at 3:1 than the newer 15:1 kits, but is simple and easy to rig up for anyone with an older style or recreational Laser.

The RWO Super Vang Swivel is all stainless steel, with ball bearings for smooth swiveling - great combination of performance and affordability. This is not class legal to use with Harken and Holt performance upgrade vangs. Use only with original, pre-2001 vang equipment.

The RWO Plain Bearing Vang Swivel is all stainless steel with a plain bearing swivel -- might bind in heavy air, but the price is right. Not class legal to use with Harken and Holt performance upgrade vangs. Use only with original, pre-2001 vang equipment.
