When Will Your Order Ship?
APS will contact you with within one business day with a day-definite shipping date for your rigging order. All rigging orders are processed on a first come, first served basis and our shipping dates are determined by the current volume of orders in our Rigging Department. Please be aware that at the peak of our season (May - August), rigging times may exceed three business days.

Our Club 420 Main Halyards are made from your option of either Excel Pro, V-100 or Crystalyne. All three options include a stainless steel purchase ring. Excel Pro is a polyester core and cover double braid that is smooth and durable. It is low stretch and flexibility that runs well through blocks. V-100 is 100% Vectran core that is no stretch and makes it ideal for static, high load applications. Polyester cover is hard wearing and durable.

Crystalyne is a must for serious racers. It has a Vectran core that is high strength and has negligible stretch. It performs well under high loads and the core doesn't absorb water, so it remains lightweight.

High Performance

Uncovered Vectran single-braid provides zero stretch with zero water absorption

If you're seriously racing the Club 420, this is the jib halyard package you'll want. This system completely replaces the wire in the jib halyard system with super-strong and lightweight Vectran.

We offer you two options for this halyard -- the first comes complete with with a Harken Micro Single with Becket and Wichard Halyard Shackle. Both of these items are snugly spliced on by our Rigging Department.

If you'd prefer to reuse the block and shackle from your current halyard, we also have a "stripped" version of our Vectran Jib Halyard available. This version allows you to simply and easily luggage tag the block and shackle on, making the switch easy and painless.

C420 Jib Halyard - Wire

Modeled after the standard wire jib halyard that comes with the Club 420, we use high quality 7x19 wire and nicropress a Harken Micro Single with Becket to the "working" end.

For attachment to the sail, we upgrade the standard shackle to a Wichard Halyard Shackle -- this is a higher quality shackle that is stronger, operates smoother (easier to open and close) and it locks down more securely.

V-100 is 100% Vectran core that is no stretch and makes it ideal for static, high load applications. Polyester cover is hard wearing and durable.

Our Club 420 Spinnaker Halyard is made from either Excel Pro or Excel Racing. Both options are whipped at both ends for durability, the core is secure to the cover to prevent no-load movement.

Excel Pro is a polyester core and cover double braid that is smooth and durable. It is low stretch and flexibility, and runs well through blocks. Excel Racing is a Dyneema core with Polyester cover double braid that is extremely durable and low stretch. It is high strength with low stretch and water absorption is minimal.
