APS Club Sails
Available in Traditional Tie to Spar or Sleeve Over Spar Trainer

Designed to withstand the day to day use of a club boat. Made of 3.8oz cloth in a cross-cut design. Includes a long sail bag, class insignia, installed tell tails and a window. Available in two versions. The traditional Tie to Spar version is pictured to the right. Or forget those annoying sail ties and make rigging easier by using our sleeve over spar trainer sail.

Sails come with FREE APS digital "8s" sail numbers. If you would like us to install the numbers too, include the SAILNUMBERS part number and allow 1 - 2 business days to process.

Ullman Race Sails

Ullman sails are made with Dimension Polyant 140B Dacron. These radial cut sails are especially designed for easy set up with a highly refined flying shape. The results is that sailors can achieve repeatable speed right of the bag. A large vision window allows for better visibility and 2 different battens allows for the bottom to be stiffer than the top to hold the fastest shape. All race sails include battens, IODA royalty button, sail numbers Optimist logo, tell tales, sail bag and a racing guide.

North Race Sail

North offers two types of sails for the Opti -- a cross cut and a radial. The cross-cuts are still the recommended sails for beginner racers. The radials hold their shape so well that unless the sailor has a good grasp on how the mainsheet controls the leach, he or she could actually go slower with a radial. The cross-cuts are much more forgiving since they tend to stretch in the breeze, bending the leach open.

Toni Tio / Quantum TR-1 Opti Race Sail

Quantum/Toni Tio offers two types of sails for the Opti -- a cross cut and a radial. The cross-cuts are still the recommended sails for beginner racers. Opti Club Sails

All sails come with a long sail bag.

LP948504: A very robust club sail that we have sold for years. Six panels with nickel plated eyes, window, battens, Opti logo, and IODA button.

EX1059: Club racing/training sail built with 4oz dacron. Six panels with nickel plated eyes, window, battens, Opti logo, and IODA button.

EX1060: Same as EX1059, but without window, IODA button and Opti logo.

EX1061: With sleeve pocket for mast, heavily reinforced corners, loose foot, battenless construction and colorful sailcloth, this sail is ideal for schools. Should be used with sleeved mast set EX1052.

Optimist Sail Battens

The tapered batten provides better sail shape (no end caps). The untapered batten comes with end caps. It is robust and stiff, but should only be used in club sails.
