When Will Your Order Ship?
APS will contact you with within one business day with a day-definite shipping date for your rigging order. All rigging orders are processed on a first come, first served basis and our shipping dates are determined by the current volume of orders in our Rigging Department. Please be aware that at the peak of our season (May - August), rigging times may exceed three business days.

The J/80 mainsheets assume that you are using a 2' pennant between the boom bail and the top mainsheet block. The mainsheet is eye spliced on one end in order to attach it easily to the fiddle that creates the top block of the mainsheet cascade. The bitter end is whipped for durability, core is secured to the cover to prevent no-load movement.

High Performance

Dyneema SK-75; minimal stretch with zero water absorption

The J/80 mainsheet pennant has eyes splices on both ends. One end is attached (luggage tagged) to the boom bail, this allows it to be secured to the boom bail without the use of a shackle. The other end has an eye splice so it can be easily attached to the shackle on the top block of the cascade. Made of Amsteel, it is designed to perform well under high loads.

The J/80 “Y” Spinnaker Sheet has the cover stripped back about 1/8 of the total sheet length and has a 12-strand eye splice at the end. To the matching core material is spliced a 3’ long piece that is whipped on one end for durability and with a 12-strand eye on the other. This piece is run through the eye ends of the two sheets then its own eye to luggage tag them all together. The single tail is tied to the clew of the spinnaker.

The J/80 Bridle “Y” Spinnaker Sheet has the cover stripped back about 1/8 of the total sheet length and and the stripped ends are spliced together leaving a single 3' end to tie to the clew.

The J/80 Spinnaker Sheets are available in a covered or stripped options. The stripped options are Maxibraid or Endura Braid, leaving a lighter option. The covered option is YaleLight. All options have ends whipped for durability.

Our J/80 1:1 Jib Sheets are made standard across all options. Both MaxiBraid and Endura Braid are high performance with durable polyester core and negligible stretch. Sta-Set is a polyester core that provides moderate stretch. Both have whipped ends for durability, the core is secured to the cover preventing no-load movement.

All of our J/24 Genoa Sheets have hard wearing polyester covers and feature end whips for top-flight durability. Designed to be attached to the sail in a "luggage tag" manner, with the center of the sheet looping through the clew of the sail. This will leave you with two equal lengths sheet that are long enough for cross sheeting.
