ICOM IC-M24 Floating Handheld VHF
It floats! The IC-M24 is a submersible (1m for 30 minutes) handheld VHF radio that will float back to the surface should it be dropped in the water. The IC-M34 has an easy to see LCD (32 × 16 mm; 11⁄4 × 5⁄8 in) with large 2-digit channel number indication. The volume and SQL levels are shown in the display. LCD and key backlighting is standard for night time operation. Nine large buttons on the front panel provide simple straight forward operation. It weighs only 305g, and the IC-M34’s easy-to-hold rounded body fits comfortably in your hand. The AquaQuake draining function emits a vibrating sound that clears water away from the speaker grill. The favorite channel function offers quick channel access to tagged channels by pushing the “FAV” button, while ignoring untagged channels. A Lithium-Ion battery pack and battery charger are supplied as standard. The BP-266 Lithium-Ion battery pack provides approximately 10 hours of operating time. Additional features include dual/tri-watch functions, 4-step battery life indicator, weather channel with weather alert, and one-touch access to channel 16. ICOM IC-M36 Floating Handheld VHF Floating and submersible like the radio above, the IC-M36 also has AquaQuake draining function. Differing features include a LOUD button to immediately boost volume, a noise-cancelling microphone, automatic volume adjustment that will detect ambient noise and modify volume as needed, and 8 hours of operating time with the 980mAh Lithium-Ion battery pack. |
