Tips on Buoyancy Bags |
| Make sure there are no sharp points in your boat that would snag or puncture the bags (especially check the undersides of any structures). Bags should be attached to the boat by passing webbing straps over and around the bag through the positioning loops on the bag. DO NOT use the loops for the actual load bearing attachment to the boat. Leave your bags slightly underinflated to ensure they do not rupture as the air inside expands on hot days. All dimensions quoted are approximate inflated sizes. Buoyancy is approximate as provided by the manufacturer. |

Mastfloat Buoyancy Bag |
|||
![]() |
This mast float significantly reduces the risk of turtling a boat by providing 8 liters of buoyancy to the top of the mast. This is a great product for instructional programs, any boat with small/beginning sailors or anyone that just hates washing mud off of their sails.
The unique design of this mastfloat features two 4-liter inflatable tubes that are connected together with a piece of sailcloth. Simply fold the sailcloth connector around the bolt rope of the sail, slide it into the sailtrack and up it goes. Each tube has a length of 32" (80cm). This product is meant for smaller dinghies only and may not guarantee 100% protection against inversion/turtling on larger or heavier boats. |
