The Club Flying Junior, "CFJ", is sailed by more collegiate sailing teams than any other double-handed sailboat. Also popular as a junior trainer, the CFJ is a light, tough, agile performer that is available with or without a spinnaker package. Especially popular on lakes and rivers, the CFJ tacks and accelerates quickly, making the best use of resticted sailing areas. Its large comfortable bouyancy tanks ensure that the CFJ is both self rescuing and safe. With a tough untapered mast, external halyards, and a simple layout, the Club Flying Junior is suitable for optimist sailors and college All-Americans alike.

Club FJ Information |
| The Club Flying Junior is built tough with reinforced fiberglass in vulnerable areas like the bow and rails. It comes equipped with heavy duty bumpersand rugged Harken hardware. The available spinnaker package makes the CFJ a great boat for junior sailors coming out of the Optimist class.
The CFJ gives youth sailors the chance to master valuable spinnaker and teamwork skills that simply can't be learned in single-handed boats. Progressinve sailing associations are developing team racing and fleet racing around their double-handed trainers. These new sailing challenges are keeping young sailors excited and building participation in junior programs. With over 900 boats in use in club programs today, and more than 100 active college fleets, the Club Flying Junior is a fantastic choice for clubs, high schools or colleges looking to introduce young sailors to double-handed sailing.
