Glass:

CR-39:
Exceptional resolution in the most optically correct, lightweight and scratch-resistant plastic lens material out there.

Polycarbonate:
When CR-39 can't be used (like our frameless and interchangeable lens styles) Costa uses this stuff. It is cast and hard-coated to make it as tough as possible.

Yellow light is the enemy. It's hard for the eye to process and changes how you see the world. Not with a pair of 580s on. These patent-packed lenses raise the red, blue and green areas to amazing levels, while eliminating much of the yellow light. The result is purer vision, deeper colors and sharper contrast. Costa 580 lenses are available in gray, copper, blue and green mirrors, making them the perfect choice for any conditions.

Lens Tints:

Blue Mirror (Gray Base): Made for the open Blue water sailing. Encapsulated mirrors deliver maximum contrast and color in full sun while eliminating glare.

Green Mirror (Amber Base): Great for fresh water sailing! Encapsulated mirrors offer enhanced visual acuity for sailing inshore, harbors, bays, lakes, flats, and rivers.

Gray: Perfect all-around choice for sports on water and land. Maintains color saturation and natural contrast in medium to bright sun conditions.

Amber: Excellent all-around lens that delivers the brightest field of vision. Great choice for cruising, sight fishing, driving and everyday activities where high contrast is needed.
