Standard clutches can be tough to let off, especially under load. However, Holt Nautos has overcome this problem. Their patented 'Xtreme Release' hinged two-piece lever allows you to easily release the clutch, even under high loads. Having flipped up the handle from its secure clip, you then have maximum leverage to free the rope.

This makes the clutches ideal both for serious racers and for family cruisers - whether you're looking for the ability to blow a spinnaker halyard fast, or just trouble-free sailing with an inexperienced crew, the XR range fits the bill. Furthermore, each clutch prevents accidental release with its snap-shut lip - a superb safety feature for all sailing environments.
