Cleatboot by proBoat |
|||
![]() |
The Cleatboot by proBoat is a simple way to make sure that your sheets & sails don't get snagged on a horn cleat anymore.
The Cleatboot use two high strength plastic chocks and heavy-duty 3/16" shock cord to create a tight fit around any cleat, creating an angled layer of protection for sheets, toes & sails. No more having to use numerous layers of tape or drilling in snaps for canvas covers -- the shock cord allows you to easily install and remove from your boat before and after racing. Each kit comes with four chocks to cover two cleats, and the necessary shock cord. Works on any horn cleat that rises above the deck more than 5/8" (16mm), and can be adapted to almost any length. |

Spinnaker Halyard Cam Base |
||||||||
![]() |
One of the major "trouble" spots in a race can be the spinnaker launch and takedown -- coordination between the people running the mast and pit has to be perfect and speed (as always) is key. With seconds being crucial, this spinnaker halyard cam base is a perfect way to speed things up while making things easier in the pit.
Here's how it works: - the launch of the spinnaker is made easier because when the halyard is jumped at the mast, because the cam is now reversed and captive. This takes the pressure off the person jumping the halyard to try and get that last pull into a mast-mounted cam. At the same time, the person running the pit does not have to worry about the spin halyard until things have calmed down and can focus on other duties. - the douse is made easier because the person running the pit can now easily disengage the spin halyard from the pit with a simple tug of the halyard, bringing it flush with the mast. This allows the person running the mast to assist with the collection of the spinnaker. Cam cleat not included -- Cam cleat is a Harken 150 or you can use the existing cam cleat on your boat. You'll need to drill two additional holes for this cam base; don't forget to use a product like Duralac to prevent electrolytic corrosion. |

Vinyl Rigging Tape |
||||||||
![]() |
From securing ring dings and pins to holding blistered hands together for one more race, just about anyone who ever sails uses this stuff by the mile. Economy or Standard we offer two grades of this UL listed, white electrical, er...rigging tape. Both are 7 mils thick, 3/4 of an inch wide and 66 feet long in white. So, why do we offer both? The Economy has a slightly less agressive adhesive and a little less stretch, but a really attractive price. If you travel a lot with your boat burning through roll after roll every weekend when you rig and de-rig your boat this is perfect for you. The Standard offers a bit more agressive adhesive on a more durable vinyl for improved holding power and stretch. It even comes with a handy dandy carrying case. This is the stuff to use if you are a set it and forget it type sailor who steps their rig once and year and rarely re-tapes things. |
