Slot Strip - Centerboard Gasket Material

Great for sealing the underside of centerboard trunks, transom flaps or rudder fairings on larger boats. Mylar (with Dacron on one side for glue/epoxy to bond to). 2-inch size (SS50) is commonly used for centerboard gaskets (two separate strips overlapping). 3-inch size (SS75) is commonly used for centerboard gaskets (on strip slit down the middle or two separate strips overlapping). 6-inch size (SS150) is commonly used for very large centerboards, rudder fairings or transom flaps.

Keel Banding - for Centerboard Gaskets

Convex aluminum alloy keel band, mounting holes undrilled or drilled and counter sunk evry 4 inches. Supplied in pairs; each piece is 5 feet long. Another product -- Banding Fairing is used when mounting keelbanding to a flat hull surface (without a recess for the banding to sit down flush with the hull).

Weighs 44 grams. Gaskets are sandwiched between the hull and keelbanding to keep water from shooting into the centerboard well/trunk. Gaskets are 67 inches long by 1-3/4 inches wide.
