Harken Small Boat furling systems allow the dinghy to set and furl the jib from the cockpit. The drums and halyard swivels of these furling systems feature multiple stacked races of Delrin or Torlon bearings to ensure smooth rotation under load. All Small Boat furling systems require a jib with a luff wire properly seized to the sail. The halyard swivels run over the wire so sail can be raised and lowered without removing the headstay. Swivels also allow independent luff tensioning. |

Convenient and reliable "Free-Furling" allows you to quickly set or furl your jib or staysail without leaving the safety of the cockpit. The sail furls and unfurls on its own luff wire and is easily removed for use on trailerable boats. These lightweight swivels utilize clear anodized, marine grade aluminum and contain hi-load Amoco Torlon™ bearings to ensure smooth and reliable performance. Precision computer machined races maximize bearing contact area for ultimate strength and durability under load providing you with safe, easy furling. |
