This very simple system usually allows adjustment of the car placement only on the windward side. Common on cruising yachts. Important: If you're putting these cars on existing T-Track that is about 1 1/4" or 32mm wide, measure the height of the "crossbar" of the "T". If it's 3/16" (~4.75mm) you have 1 1/4" Imperial (English) track and need the H1997E Pinstop Car. If it's 6mm (~1/4") you have 32mm Metric track and need the H1997 Pinstop Car (no "E" at the end of the part number), HB154CM Pinstop Car or HB1875AM Pinstop Car.

This towable genoa lead system rides on T-Track and adjusts with 2:1 advantage. A pinstop slider car on ball bearing track is recommended for cruising boats that might upgrade to adjustable ball bearing cars. Pinstop slider cars are great when you intend to change the lead position infrequently.

Use an adjustable car for the #1 and #2 genoas. Use a pinstop car for the #3 and #4. This specs Slider Genoa Lead Cars which run on Ball Bearing track for the forward lead cars, in case you want to make them adjustable at a later date. You can use T-Track instead. For boats to 28'. Ball bearing car and a 2:1 purchase allow easy adjustment under load, even while beating. 4'-11" track is long enough to handle #1 and most #2 genoas. Purchase the system as a package or buy the components separately. Designed for boats whose #1 genoas have a sail area of 530 ft2 or less and whose #3's have a sail area of 195 ft2 or less. (We recommend two 15' lengths of 5/16" control line.)

These kits come with everything you need to install an "Piston Stop" (aka Pin-Stop) adjustable jib lead system or fair lead system, including two lengths of track, endstops and two cars. Some include fasteners and some do not. Pin-stops are 19mm (3/4") apart on the track. These systems all take up to 10mm (3/8") line, except the HA4574 which accepts line up to 8mm (5/16"). HA4264: The pin-stop car features horizontally-aligned, alloy cam cleats, wire line guide, and high angle fairlead. The black anodized track is 220mm (8 21/32") long, and has HA136 endstops. M5 FH Fasteners not included. HA427476: The pin stop car features an open, horizontally-aligned, alloy cam cleat and composite fairlead with protected pin stop. The silver anodized track is 377mm (14 27/32") long by 33m (1 5/16") wide. The five fastener holes are 76mm (3") apart and 36mm (1 27/64") from each end and comes with M5 FH screws. HA447476: The pin stop car features an open, vertically aligned alloy cam cleat and wire fairlead with protected composite/metal pin stop. The silver anodized track is 300mm (11 13/16") long. The four fastener holes are 76mm (3") apart and 36mm (1 27/64") from each end and comes with M5 FH screws. HA4573: Shackle or lash your own blocks or other hardware to the pin-stop fairlead car. The silver anodized track is 330mm (13") long by 22mm (55/64") wide. The five fastener holes are 76mm (3") apart (except for one pair at one end which are 57mm (2") apart) and 22mm (55/64") from each end and comes with M5 FH screws. HA4574: This system has pin-stop fairlead cars with single, HA4260 27mm Plain Bearing Loop Top Blocks fastened permanently to each car. The silver anodized track is 330mm (13") long. The five fastener holes are 76mm (3") apart (except for one pair at one end which are 57mm (2") apart) and 22mm (55/64") from each end and comes with M5 FH screws. |

3:1 system mounts on 1-1/4 inch Schaefer T-track. We have included a 4 foot length in this system package, but other lengths are also available. Cars use polyethylene liners to reduce friction and make adjustment under load easier. (We recommend 30 feet of 5/16 inch control line and 10 feet of 1/4 inch shock cord for each side of the boat). You will need to order 2 of each component to fully outfit your boat. |
