Selden makes two spinnaker pole ends - one dinghy size and one keelboat size.  The dinghy spinnaker pole end is made of a lightweight and strong molded composite body with a stainless steel slider. The keelboat spinnaker pole end fittings are made of glass fiber reinforced polyamide composite.

This material makes for a combination of low weight and strength and it also prevents damage to boat or mast when the pole is on the fore deck. The claw has a well rounded stainless chafe guard, preventing damage to sheet and guy. The stainless, spring loaded plunger is operated at the end fitting or with the release line.
