Selden Mast End Fittings |
| Selden's range of end fittings are super-light, carbon-friendly and designed for use on all Selden dinghy mast extrusions. The new range of mast heels is easier to install. A feature of the mast heel is the slight radius on the bearing surface to help spread the load of the mast and ensure a constant load distribution. Locating notch has been incorporated into the design to aid when stepping the mast. An A-line is used on all fittings to guarantee perfect alignment between heel and mast section. Injection moulded from an advanced composite, new adaptors are significantly lighter in weight than aluminum ones. These fittings come standard on all new spars and can be retrofitted to older masts and booms. Heal adaptors are not included except where noted. Selden Head Fittings |
| Selden develops head fittings for both tapered and untapered masts. The tapered masthead fitting offers the standard 2:1 and sealed head main halyard lead options. Constructed of a super lightweight casting, with low windage insets for the clevis pin. The fitting is used with an adaptor on the head of series 3 and 4 carbon masts. Three pin locations located in the masthead casting allow you to select the most appropriate main halyard configuration for your boat. The untapered masthead fitting is manufactured from an inert, hard-wearing composite material, it has three halyard lead options and includes an integral burgee clip. Section adaptors enable the masthead to fit the majority of the Selden range of sections.

Selden Halyard Locks |
| Main halyard locks are ideal at guaranteeing your mainsail is always hoisted to the measurement band, with the hoist position unaffected by mast bend. The lock also reduces mast tip compression making the fitting a 'must' for any champion. There are various options, with the alloy lock used for most dinghies. Designed for 2mm wire (3/32" does not clear the slot cleanly and will not operate well), now available in its own cassette for simple fitting. The larger titanium lock is better suited to small keelboats like E22's, taking a 2.5mm or 3mm halyard and is available in stainless steel or titanium. The small V-lock is an ideal suite for external halyards for Europes, Finns, Splashes and Oks.

Selden Boom Fittings |
| Boom fittings for aluminum booms have been designed to provide an unparallel level of functionality. Manufactured from inert, hard-wearing composite, these fittings offer multiple sheave lead solutions for outhaul, reefing, pole retraction, flatteners, or anything else you can think of. Inboard ends have a built in sail feeder (moulded into the fitting) that provides a guide for the mainsail clew. The outboard boom end has lines that can be locked via two pegs on the side of the fitting or on a V-groove underneath the starboard sheave. The inboard boom and end fittings offer three sheave lead options for outhaul, reefing lines, flatteners, internal pole retraction systems and anything else. Carbon boom fittings are manufactured from carbon-friendly, lightweight, hard-wearing composite, and are designed to fit standard Selden carbon boom tube dimensions. The 76mm inboard end fittings come with a lead option for the outhaul, as well as a tack eye attachment. Mainsheet and kicker attachments are manufactured from webbing and mylar, with stainless steel take-off points. They are designed to distribute the sheet and kicker loads effectively and can be easily fitted and adjusted on the boom section. Boom sliders are designed to allow mainsheet blocks to attach directly to the eye and fit into the in-boom track with screw pads that add support with a strong grip. High-load boom sliders for high-load vang applications are also available. The new Selden deck protector has been designed to fit into the outboard end of any Selden dinghy boom to protect the deck of the boat from the boom when dropped into the boat. A simple composite fitting is pushed into the lower track so it can be easily fitted to existing dinghy booms as well as new ones. The range also includes various other boom parts including pole stowage loops, reefing hooks and outhaul levers. All _01 boom end assemblies include fasteners. Selden Gooseneck Brackets |
| Goosenecks and boom brackets are designed to reduce weight and increase strength and functionality, the new system features a round pin, to allow the boom to rotate in the direction of the load. The new pin is longer and engages into a tight fitting hole to limit any ‘play’ in the mast/boom joint. When you purchase a Selden boom its inboard boom end fitting contains a Unique Gooseneck Lock system to give it a positive engagement on to the boom. By 'clicking' into place, the boom is prevented from falling off the gooseneck when dropping the mainsail, saving any damage to you or your deck. It is also very useful when using a boom-up cover. Older and Newer style pins are interchangeable.

Selden Deck Collars |
| Deck collars are used to prevent tube chafe. Fitted for keel-stepped masts at deck level. The Selden range contains two deck collars, a wrap-round collar for braced decks on both front and side walls and side chafe plates that can be used as boom chafe plates to prevent damage from shrouds. The chafe collar is blue anodized aluminum and is used to protect the mast at the partners or as a reinforcement where the spreaders are attached to the mast. The chafe cheek plate is also constructed of blue anodized aluminum |

Selden Fully Adjustable Spreader System |
| Seldén offers two spreader system solutions. The standard vernier-adjust spreader system provides a simple, robust solution for all sailing applications. The recently developed fully adjustable spreader system offers a much more specific, precise-adjust system for the top level sailor. Both systems have a dihedral angle locked into the bracket to give optimum rig support, and as both brackets are shaped and fitted to the mast with precision jigs, every bracket is perfectly symmetrical and consistent. Selden's fully adjustable spreader system refines the standards for rig adjustment, strength and reliability. Ergonomic molded composite thumbscrews are easy to adjust and low profile, minimizing windage. The spreaders can be adjusted in as little as 1˚ increments. The lengths listed are the spreader extrusion lengths. Spreader ends allow for 45mm of length adjustment. A hole is provided for permanent pin locking if required. Available on new masts produced from Kappa, Cumulus, Epsilon and Gamma Sections. For a complete chart of Selden mast and boom sections, click here
