Equiplite floating blocks are similar in design to Equiplite snatch blocks and spinnaker blocks. They employ wide Acetal sheaves to pass two sheets for peeling jibs under load. They have molded, carbon composite side plates with low friction polymer bearings.
They are also available in high-load versions with aluminum sheaves and high-load polymer bearings. The high-load versions are the same size as the standard floating blocks with at least twice the (SWL) safe working load. They can be used with a strop and snatch block to form a 2:1 system.
