More information on Polyester & Polypropylene Sheets:

Polyester and polypropylene ropes provide a kink resistant construction that is good for dinghy mainsheets and small keelboats. These lines have a low to moderate stretch rate.

Ideal for dinghy sheets, lines in this category are made up of polyester and/or polypropylene and are constructed of either single or double braids. They make great lightweight dinghy sheets but they don’t have the abrasion resistance to stand up to winches. The double braids have a firm cover that provides sheets that run well and don’t tangle. The polypropylene single braids that have a nice fuzzy feel and are an economical choice for club programs. Due to their lightweight and non water absorbing characteristics, the polypropylene single braids also make great tow lines for small boats like Optis!

APS offers polyester and polypropylene sheets from New England Ropes, Marlow Ropes, Rooster, and FSE Robline.
