Harkens Midrange Captive Ball Traveler Cars are built to handle high loads on boats from 27 ft to 34 ft (8m to 10m). The one-piece solid aluminum construction is lightweight and strong. Machined aluminum Hardkote-anodized races permit Torlon bearings to transition smoothly from the active to return race for smooth trimming and easing. Stainless steel wire guides keep the balls captive when the car is off the track.
Pivoting toggle cars have low pivot points to handle non-vertical loads. Blocks attach directly to the toggle for a low profile, compact system. The toggle serves as a standup for the mainsheet block.
This version of Harkens Midrange Captive Ball Car with Standup Toggle requires a minimum radius of 8' (2.44m) on curved track.
Note: The Midrange Captive Ball Traveler Cars are designed for Harken's captive ball track, and will not fit older Harken track. Older, non-Captive Ball cars do fit on the new track designed for Captive Ball Cars. The difference is the deeper indentation, which makes the T of the track more pronounced, and allows room for the wire guide that holds the balls captive.
