Hi. This is Kyle from APS and I'm here to share with you some of the characteristics of 1" tubular polyester webbing.
Because it's polyester it is UV resistant. It's abrasion resistant. This weave is very low stretch. It's tubular in construction. You commonly see this used for adjustment straps on biminis and dodgers. You can also use this for some specialty applications. Just use your imagination. Put a finish washer and a self-tapping screw and you can screw it right into a surface. You can make straps by securing it on both sides, and here at APS we use this for our custom jack lines. For our jack lines we use single braid Dyneema for its low stretch and abrasion resistance, and then we sleeve those with the tubular polyester. Why we do that is if you were to step on this round surface you could just spin off and fall, but with the tubular polyester it keeps the line from wanting to rotate and less of a falling situation.
