NEW - Website Editor (Full Time -Salaried)

APS is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented person who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment to join our website team. APS is located in the Eastport, right in the middle of all of the local sailing action. From one-design dinghy to offshore, plenty of sailing opportunities also await. This job is essential to the success of our online retail site, from planning to executing initiatives to raise traffic and sales of APS’s website. In this position there will be a partnership with the marketing team to carry out the web component of campaigns and promotions.

• Recommend and implement positive layout changes throughout the site.
• Improve customer usability through better navigation, search and overall experience.
• Enhance the customer experience with including customer reviews and related products.
• Define and implement a program to increase traffic through SEO and Google Adwords.
• Advise on software upgrades for a new web platform.
• Accountable for tracking and reporting of analytics.
• Execute coding sending of emails on a weekly basis.
• Perform product updates and adding new products to the site.

• 3 - 5 years of work in HTML and CSS
• 1 - 2 years in web administration or management
• Proficient in Adobe Suite
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Proficient in Google Analytics monitoring and reporting
• Experience with Google Adwords Campaigns
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Experience with the AspDotNet platform
• Racing sailor with sailing product knowledge a definite plus

NEW – Marketing Associate: Content Editor (Full Time - Salaried)

An essential part of the marketing team, the content editor would be responsible for the vast amount of unique content found throughout print and our website. In the position there is necessity to be creative, well spoken and work within deadlines.

• Generate unique content for our advertisements and promotions.
• Organize and coordinate content for our company blog.
• Contribute to our social media topics and content.
• Improve and updating product content on our website from descriptions to images.
• Working with web editor to improve the usability of the website.

• 2 – 4 years as an editor or in a writing heavy position
• 2 – 3 years in marketing
• Experience in social media and blogging
• Proficient in basic HTML
• Racing sailor with sailing product knowledge a definite plus

NEW – Receiving Clerk (Full Time)

APS is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented person who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment to join our fulfillment team. Responsibilities include receiving inventory into our fulfillment system, reconciling packing lists with purchase orders, following up on mis-ships, maintaining an efficient inventory flow and managing fulfillment employees in the receiving department.

Sailing experience is a must and sailing product knowledge a definite plus. Candidates must have keen attention to detail, excellent communication skills, a good phone manner, computer literacy and the ability to work within deadlines.

Decoration / Branding Production Assistant (Part Time/Hourly)

Assist the Operations Manager with day to day running and production side of APS branding and decoration division in Annapolis, MD. Be a part of our team and help create high end, top-of-the-line crew gear and corporate wear. Must be able to learn quickly, be creative, have a keen eye for detail and the ability to multi task and move from one project to another quickly. Previous experience with commercial embroidery machines a major plus.

Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is useful and knowledge of Microsoft Office is a must. This job is fun and active, which means that there will be some light lifting involved, and the majority of your day (90%) will be spent on your feet. Fulfillment Assistants - (Full Time/Hourly)

APS is looking for positive, motivated people who enjoy working in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment. If that sounds like you, we invite you to join us! Your day-to-day responsibilities will include many aspects of shipping and receiving sailing equipment, which requires keen attention to detail. Your key role at APS will be labeling merchandise, stocking the storefront, fulfilling orders, etc. Previous experience in a warehouse environment is a plus.
