Not a chew toy! These Dogbones were originally invented in the tall ship days made of a wooden peg and has now been brought back in a modern structure due to its usefulness and versatility. Used to connect line to another line, grommet, or deck fitting this device simply attaches to the end of the line you wish to connect.
Tylaska Dogbones are made with high strength 7000 series. Tylaska’s unique tapered design (dogbone-like shape) with the grooved texture grips the line to prevent slippage while not causing damage to the line or fibers. This innovative concept is what makes these Dogbones exceptionally high in quality and performance. Each Dogbone comes with an extra-long leash that can be attached through the cross holes on either end. The recessed holes on each end provide access to leash knots as well as reduce weight of the Dogbone.
Great for attaching the halyard line to the headboard in order to maximize sail height, or for use on jib sheets, spinnaker sheets, outhauls, soft loops for connecting blocks to deck fittings, etc. It is also easy to attach and detach as it does not jam up like a knot.
