APS in Lake Placid

APS in Lake Placid

Jarrett, one of our master riggers, was in Lake Placid over the weekend. (Yes, it’s Wednesday, and we’re still dreaming of the weekend…) Lo and Behold, he saw an APS race mark in the middle of the lake. Why? Because the lake is a summer-long training ground (water?) for IRONMAN Lake Placid! How cool is that?! Thanks for using our mark, Ironmen and women in training!

Bike to Work Day 2011

No parked cars? Don’t let the empty street fool you! Your favorite APS faces are still here working hard on this gorgeous Friday. If you’re keeping up with the APS Chesapeake Bay SpinSheet Racer Profiles, you’d know Ryan Breymaier (to-be […]

Trying it on for size…

Trying it on for size…

The following post is a guest editorial from former APSer, Chris Teixeira. The Stern Scoop misses Chris’s comedic yet informative posts. Enjoy: At APS, we pride ourselves on being able to offer quality information and detail on almost every piece of gear that we carry. Yes, we said “almost every piece of gear” — there’s something like 50,000 products in our system, so unless you’ve picked up a dictionary and memorized every word and definition in it, get off your […]

Behind the Scenes – APS Shipping is Green

Behind the Scenes – APS Shipping is Green

Ever wonder why some of your orders from APS come shipped in a box that has an odd shape? Why you may get packing peanuts in one order and bubble wrap in another? The Answer is this: APS reuses shipping material coming in by way of product deliveries. (Minus shredded paper – that stuff is beastly.) At APS, we’re trying to do what we can to adopt various sustainable business pratices. Reusing materials for shipping is easy and economical – […]
