This is the Stohlquist Edge PFD, coastguard approved. This is a nicely consolidated, low fitting, very open, easy to move in jacket. Some of the features, I've got adjustable shoulder straps here, I've got reflective accents here. On the side my adjustments are one big one on either side, and then my waist adjustment is down here, and that's attached to this entry point quick release buckle down here.
On the main part I've got quite a deep and large storage pocket here, and I've got a multi tool or utility attachment point right here. The entry is on the side, and with a lot of side entries, you'll find that the zipper is way back here, this one they've moved sideways, and it's quite easy to access, so just open that up, or to put it back on, I can actually see what I'm doing, so it's a nice feature if you're using your jacket a lot.
Taking this off, inside I've got some sticky right down here on the waist belt, front and back, so when you tighten this belt, it pushes that against whatever you're wearing and kind of wants to stick to it and keep the vest from riding up so, a nice small feature. So, this is the Stolquist Edge Life Jacket.
The Edge Life Vest by Stohlquist is an optimal Type III PFD with some serious wear-ability. If the sailing you do requires the use of a life vest, here is one for day long comfort.
The Wrapture™ design means the flotation contours to the shape of the body to avoid the bulkiness typical to jackets made in large foam panels. The jacket has two straps on the shoulders and two on each side, giving the user full adjustability to accommodate how he or she prefers to wear it. That range of adjustments also makes this a great jacket for juniors who are just transitioning out of youth sizes (90lbs +).
Another stellar feature of the Edge life vest is the pull tab on the zipper. By extending past the bottom of the teeth, it gives you material to grab hold of and easily start the zipper even with gloves. Brilliant!
The marsupial pocket is more than sizable enough to hold the day’s worth of snacks and sunscreens.
So get out there. Sail fast. And live life on the Edge!
